Format:

  • Guaranteed 4 games. Pool play followed by tournament.

  • 14U – 16JE – four pools of 4 teams, top 2 teams from each pool move to Championship bracket; bottom two teams from each pool move to Shootout Tournament

  • Open - one pool, 5 teams, top 2 teams play for Championship

  • TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED BY MARCH 21, 2008
Entry Fee: Fee for 2007 Dayton SRT is $375.00 with all required documents received by March 20, 2008

Reduced fee of $350 per team for multiple teams from the same org.

  • Entries will not be confirmed until money order or cashier’s check is received.  Money Orders & Checks should be made payable to Dayton Lady Hoopstars
Entry Deadline: March 20, 2008 - All entries and paperwork  MUST be received by this date
Rules of Play:

All games must follow the AAU Girls’ Basketball Handbook (NCAA). 

All officials will be certified High School Varsity or better
Player Rosters:

Rosters must be submitted to DLH By March 20, 2008

Exceptions after March 20 MUST be communicated to/approved by Tournament Director
AAU Membership: All players must have a current AAU membership card with them at the tournament at check-in
Birth Certificates: All birth certificates must be submitted with entry fee before March 20, 2008
Uniforms: Teams must have light and dark jerseys
Awards: AAU Medals and trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams
Automatic Qualifications: Teams that finish first (1) or second (2) in the Super Regional may qualify for the National Tournament based on the following table:

  • Teams that receive an invitation to the National Championship tournament MUST play in their District Qualifying Tournament (DQT).  

  • Teams that receive an invitation to the National Tournament and are unable to participate in the District Tournament, must submit a documented request to the Girl's Basketball Executive Committee, who will determine if they are eligible to use the invitational

  • If a team has already qualified for the D-1 National Championship, either through an SRT or their DQT, then the next highest team would receive the bid.  In an SRT, no team that finsihes lower than fourth place may advance from that SRT.
Qualifying teams: Teams that receive an invitation from the Super Regional Tournament to the National championship tournament MUST make sure that the Tournament Director forwards Birth Documents and roster sheet to the National Certification Chair no later than 10 DAYS after conclusion of the Super Regional.  Failure to do so may nullify your invitation.

Any player competing in a specific age division must remain in that age division and only that age division throughout ANY Qualifying Tournaments (District [DQT] OR Super Regionals [SRT]) and the National Championships [NC], both Division I [D-I] and Division II [D-II].
